Interdisciplinary Management of Anterior Esthetic Dilemmas | | Dr. Kokich Jr. received a dental degree at Tuffs University and Masters in Orthodontics from the University of Washington, where he serves as Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics. He received the Charles L. Pincus Research Award from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and currently serves on the editorial advisory board for Advanced Esthetics & Interdisciplinary Dentistry. His research and publications primarily address esthetic and interdisciplinary dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists and a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. | | With an increased awareness and importance of dental and facial esthetics, it is often necessary to incorporate orthodontics, periodontal surgery as well as restorative dentistry to achieve the most predictable results. Dr. Kokich, Jr. provides a systematic, interdisciplinary approach for managing patients with missing teeth and illustrates the importance of interdisciplinary interaction between the restorative dentist and orthodontist with special emphasis placed on treatment planning, communication and sequencing. The presentation emphasizes the importance of using an interdisciplinary “team” treatment approach when treating patients. |
