Illinois dental licensure currently requires 48 hours of CE courses every three years. For the most current licensure information, contact the Illinois State Dental Society. Each one-day ISO meeting lecture provides 6 CEUs.

ISO Lecture Table Top Exhibit Opportunities

Attendees increase your networking opportunities with even more of your orthodontic supplier partner local representatives on-hand at table top exhibits in the lecture foyer.

The average one day lecture attendance is about 150 ISO member orthodontists and residents from the University of Illinois-Chicago and often also Marquette University. Exhibitors will receive in advance a list of attending doctors with name/city for preplanning purposes.

Dr. Sandra Tai

Dr. Tai received her graduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Minnesota. She is a practicing Specialist in Orthodontics in Vancouver, Canada and Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthodontics at the University of British Columbia. She is also Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Dr. Tai has been an Invisalign certified orthodontist since 2000 and is currently an Invisalign Diamond Plus Provider who has treated over 2,500 cases with Invisalign clear aligners. Dr Tai is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics and the author of the textbook “Clear Aligner Technique”.  She is also a reviewer for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. 

Treating Teens with Aligners: Class II Treatment

Dr. Tai will share how to treat Teens with Invisalign innovations for Class II treatment. Various treatment approaches such as Elastic Simulation jump, Sequential Distalization and Invisalign with Mandibular Advancement for Class II, growing, retrognathic patients will be discussed. Deep Bite and Open Bite malocclusions are ideally suited for clear aligner treatment. Innovations for both deep bite and open bite malocclusions that include precision bite ramps, optimized deep bite attachments and pressure areas for deep bite correction and optimized anterior extrusive attachments for open bite treatment will be presented. Biomechanics, anchorage requirements and staging patterns for clinically predictable outcomes will be illustrated with clinical cases that range from mild to severe cases requiring Temporary Anchorage Devices.
